I'm Dead (Week)

Dead Week.

It's a term known all across the country for the week before universities exam period. It is known for the abundance of stress and on the flip side, a lack of sleep. Students stay up until the sun rises, and become an insomniac for a few days. With Starbucks open 24/7 besides that 30 minute space through midnight where they legally have to close, students are all cracked out on espresso shots and caffeinne.

Some universities have dead week traditions where at certain times of the week students will unite, opening windows, meeting in well known areas of campus and all simultaneously yelling. Some say it relieves stress, others say they just do it for fun.

The art of yelling in relief of stress has apparently been happening since finals became a thing. Southern Miss students should unite under this cause and start a yelling tradition of our own.

Everyone has their own way of relieving stress, some more creative than others.

This video is from UCLA, where the midnight yell is a tradition in and of its own.

This video is from Stanford, where the video shows three girls recieving reply yells from other Stanford students.
