INAUGURATION DAY!
The Inauguration has always been a happy time for the nation. A new President, a new dream, a new regime. Everything about this time is supposed to be joyous. But, if you weren't hiding under a rock you would know that this day was very far from being completely joyous. Before Donald Trump took the oath of office there were riots all across the country. In Washington not far from Capitol Hill police were not directly protecting our President, they were fighting off rioters. An already stressful week for the D.C. police force, got doubled tenfold when the rioters began running through the streets, breaking windows, spray painting car, and attacking Trump supporters. Over 200 men and women were arrested\] Back on the happy side of the city, fans cheered on our new President as he stepped out of his armored vehicle along with Vice President Mike Pence to walk part of the parade route. Once he reached the White House, both Trump and Pence stood out on the front lawn behind a bulletproof glass window saluting those in uniform and thanking all performers. On the first day in office President Trump signed an executive order to cut an order that doesn’t allow men or women in uniform to serve as Secretary of Defense until seven years after they have been out of uniform. Trump did this to officially name Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis. Trump’s Inauguration Speech was America centered making sure everyone knew that he plans on putting “AMERICA FIRST!”
